From a young age, Tom had always had a deep & passionate love of music. At the age of 7 he had learned basic tunes & melodies on a recorder, eventually leading from wind instruments to the string section, more specifically the cello. Along the way picking up a natural ability to use various percussion & drums. Along side learning various instruments, he also had a love of hardcore & hard house music. Although no one else his age had any idea what this music was, it didn't stop him listening & following this electrfying, fast paced explosive sound.
As he hit his teenage years, the music transfered from hardcore to trance, where he fell in love with Cream, Gatecreasher, Godskitchen & other U.K based Trance Juggernauts. At this time, the internet was not exactly full of information, so he turned to various magazines such as dj mag & mixmag to follow the nightlife scene as best he could. This was the only way to keep up to date with things as he wasn't any where near old enough to be hitting the clubs yet! The closest thing he had to actually making & recording music at this point was his beloved Music 2000 playstation game which he was able to make his first basic tracks on. Although very basic, it helped him get a deeper understanding with the flow & energy of music production.
As time went on, house music started to slip though the euphoric soundwaves of Tom's vast cassette collection, and this was nothing like what he had listened to for the last 7 or 8 years. Slower, deeper, but somehow more interesting & more exiting, this would be the turning point for Tom. And a few C.D's later, he was stood outside his local record store choosing his soon to be first set of turntables. Tom never really saw the light of day for the next 3 months, headphones glued to his ears he crafted the basics & started recording his 1st few mixtapes - sending them to friends first, then various promoters, and eventually on to radio & club brands.
By 17, Tom had mastered the basics of mixing, and producing, and at this point had decided that it was either going to be education, or music. He took the gamble, dropped out of college, and started working. Using every bit of cash he could to buy music, upgrade equipment & promote himself to anyone & everyone, eventually paying off when he began landing residencies in his home town. Gradually he landed gigs further afield & things were definately starting to move for Tom.
Tom's style of music is now firmly in the deep & tech house world. This is the sound he has been hunting for since he was very young, and although starting at the complete opposite end of the spectrum style wise, it has helped him understand all kinds of sounds, speeds, effects and helped with building sets & producing music. Tom likes to build his music over time. He almost tells a story in his sets, flowing from deep house, to techy sounds, blissfull euphoric breakdowns, throbbing techno, as well as throwing a ton of effects over the tracks he plays. He is a firm believer that you should not rush your work, but take time and really craft a memorable & beautiful moment.
Dynamic, Individual & creative, Tom is as much a showman as an artist & dj. Explosive gigs, full on enegy, and always wanting to give the crowd the best night of their lives, this is one DJ who is set to tear dancefloors apart all across the world.
